Score with a World Cup Finale Party at Der Biergarten on July 13



Close out the final World Cup game at Der Biergarten’s finale party on July 13 at 3 p.m. Be sure to bring your raffle tickets received from each Warsteiner purchase since the kick-off party in June because Der Biergarten will draw for two prizes. The grand prize winner will receive two round-trip Lufthansa airline tickets to anywhere in Europe, and the second prize winner takes home an authentic German football jersey. Let the games begin!

The Truck Stops Here: Bar Meatball and More at Atlanta Street Food Festival in Piedmont Park on July 12

More than 40 food trucks, local artisans, a family fun zone and musical entertainment by live bands and DJs will gather at Piedmont Park for the Atlanta Street Food Festival from noon until 8 p.m. on July 12. Make a beeline to the Bar Meatball food truck and order classic meatballs with sauce, meatball sliders with fries and Italian-American pasta topped with meatballs. Combo plates are $7 and single sliders are $3 each. Sauce options include classic tomato, arugula walnut pesto, fredo or mushroom gravy. Cool off from the heat with made-to-order ice cream sandwiches ($5) or the signature Zeppole Joey’s “bag o donuts” with Nutella ($3). The event is free, but a wristband is required to buy food from the food trucks and to buy beer. Purchase your wristband ($10.50 each or 4 for $25) online before Saturday and receive $1 off each menu item over $6 at each truck. Old World Meets New Finesse as Nikolai’s Roof Hosts Belgian Artisanal Spirits Dinner on July 17

Experience fine dining, a contemporary menu and skyline view from Nikolai’s Roof and artisanal eaux-de-vie and liqueurs from Distillerie de Biercée at a four-course dinner and cocktail pairing on July 17. Beginning at 7 p.m., the first course starts with seared tuna, curry-infused mussels, petite heirloom tomato, sea beans and soy paired with a Peket cocktail of Peket dè Houyeu, Domaine de Canton, lime juice and kaffir lime simple syrup. The second course has seared foie gras with pineapple gelée, pearl onion, crispy duck skin and sherry vinegar paired with a Griotte cherry eau-de-vie and Buffalo Trace bourbon cocktail. Following that is veal crépinette with mustard demi-glace, young frisée and charred tomato vinaigrette follows, paired with a Lemon Eau de Villée cocktail.
